Of course, C likes Blossom the best and wanted a costume for the party. Wish granted!

I wanted to make dresses for all the girls but in the end (and multiple shipments from China) we ended up with t-shirts. I had a little factory going in our house, printing/cutting the iron-ons, ironing the images onto the shirt and then sewing on the belts. In the end, I'm happy with the way they turned out although I'm not sure the belts and iron-ons will make it through a single wash. Each of the girls chose a shirt upon arrival in Townsville.
We had a scientist on hand for the first half of the party to do science experiments with the kids (supposed to be Professor Utonium but the story didn't really hold when a woman showed up). I was really impressed and the kids stayed engaged the entire time.
Some of the experiments included: Making an edible powder sherbet
Tornado's in a bottle race
Smoke rings and smokey bubbles
Bouncy slime which the girls could take home.
After the science experiments the kids grabbed box lunches and sat outside to eat their snacks. J made a platter of very fancy and professional looking tea sandwiches - Tuna, Cucumber and Cream Cheese and Ham & Cheese. So very British!
Next up were the super-hero activities which C and I had fun planning. We tied up a collection of C's dolls & stuffed animals to a chair and the goal for all the girls was to get through all the activities to save the animals. The activities included:
Knocking down cans of Chemical X. K loved this one.

Shooting a collection of villains with water guns. This was a crowd favorite.
Tossing balls into the helmet of Mojo Jojo, the evil monkey.

Unfortunately I was manning the Mojo station so I didn't get any photos but the girls had a fun time at all the activities and had a chance to take multiple turns. When they were finished - and the animals were saved - each of the girls received a superhero bracelet.
Last but not least - CAKE! After a circuitous route from VA to London to Israel and then back to London, the topper from Etsy arrived just in time.
In addition to the t-shirts, the girls took home party bags with a collection of pink, blue and green erasers and curly straws, mini-rocket launchers, a PPG pin (thanks to our friend KK for finding these!) and old-school pixi stix and dot candy that I brought back from the US. Plus slices of cakes because that's how it's done in the UK. Funny enough, I received an email from a mom after the party asking what the dots were and if they were edible.
Overall, a very successful party. C told me she had a lot of fun and in the end, that's what matters most. And any excuse for me to get my creative juices flowing is a welcome one.
