She's also very into books these days. If you've been to our house you know that we have piles of books in practically every room. Well, C has been taking her home library out for a spin, bringing book after book to josh & I for a read. Usually once one book reaches 'the end' she signs and says "more". I know repetition is good but I pretty much have a 2 read limit per book. Since she's been reading so much, we thought it would be a good idea to take her to the library for toddler storytime. The report back from J was that she preferred taking all the books down off the shelves to sitting in a chair listening to the librarian. They were out of there in less than 5 minutes. Ok, I admit taking the books off the shelf is a bit obnoxious, but do they really think toddlers are going to sit in chairs for 1/2 hr.? Certainly not mine.
Luckily we found some storytimes at a few other local libraries that are much less structured and moving around is encouraged. Our favorite so far is the one at Woodside Library. It's all songs and they pass out shakers for all the kids to make lots of noise. Who said you had to be quiet in libraries!
Reading, schmeading, where did she get those PANTS? Awesome!
