Mayfield Lavender Farm

The best part about Mayfield Lavender Farm is the smell that greets you the moment you open the car door.  It is intoxicating!  

Whenever we're on walks in the neighborhood I'm always stopping to touch and smell the lavender.  It makes me happy that the kids have picked up this habit as well.  

At the farm, the kids enjoyed running up and down between the rows of lavender.

And took a break to blow some dandelions.

The bees were out in full force which I find so encouraging.  After watching "The Vanishing of the Bees" I find myself constantly rooting for the bees.  Except when they are swarming around K's head.
