Father Christmas arrived in London early this year (or maybe I just forgot to reserve a slot and Nov 7 was all that was left!). After work last Thursday I met J and the kids at Harrods for our visit to Father Christmas. It was fun seeing Harrod's all lit up and they had amazing window displays themed as different cars on a train.
After snaking our way through the waiting area, we were escorted to meet Father Christmas. I find the whole setup a bit disenchanting...there is a corridor of closed doors with a Father Christmas behind every one. It echoes of Monster's Inc.
We met 'our' Father Christmas and would you believe he was the same one as last year. What are the chances? K wasn't scared at all this year and when asked what he wanted he said a spaceship. C asked for a Trumpet. I have no idea where that came from since she's been talking about asking Santa for her own iPhone with a pink cover and iPad with a pink cover for months now. Her list keeps growing:

Christmas list decoded:
Two wheel scoot (scooter, which by the way she already has)
iPad with a pink case
iPhone with a pink case
Tube ticket
A doll that has clothes that you can put on
I want a trumpet
A spaceship (copying her brother on this one)
Some new dresses
Some new toys
Some cookies (she told me this was for the whole family)
Another hula hoop
Some spooky decorations (added to the list around Halloween)
Some sweets (also a family request)
Some pencils
A pencil case
Of course we had to stop by the toy department before heading back home. K's favorite area - Thomas!
It was late and the kids had reached that overly tired, crazy out of their mind stage. It was a challenging ride & walk home but we made it (although not all reindeer antlers survived).
Merry Christmas (in November) from us!
And just for fun I included last years picture as well.

Please keep that list forever. C will LOVE looking at it in 30 years! :) Can't believe how much they have both grown in just a year. Awesome kids.
