FSB Advent Concert

Last week was K's Advent Concert for school.  The boys walked into the church in their uniforms with holiday bow tie and carried little candles.  Couldn't be more adorable.

The show lasted an hour and was very impressive.  Each of the classes sang Christmas songs and some of the boys read poems.  My favorite was the retelling of "The Night Before Christmas" where the Year 2 boys stood in a line and passed a microphone from one boy to another as they recited the story. There were also some instrumental numbers from boys playing violins, guitars and the piano.

I didn't have a great view of K but he seemed to be enjoying himself and singing his heart out (front row, over middle candle).

The last song was the best...the Twelve Days of Christmas which all the boys sang together.  The music teacher also asked for audience participation.  When the number of your birthday month was sang, you had to stand up and sit down again.  J is born in May (5) so his was the bonus month where parents were asked to shake keys each time they stood.  It was very funny and the boys loved it.

Next year I hope to get my dad to London to see the performance.  It was so well-done - brava to the music teacher.
