C's Hair

According to C, her "hair is famous at school".  No doubt.  She has the thickest hair I've ever seen and anyone who sees and feels it comments on it.  Even better, it has lovely blond and gold highlights throughout, a natural dye job most women would pay seriously good money for.

The downside to all that lovely, thick hair is what a total pain it is to wash and to brush.  About 2 years ago C decided she wanted to grow her hair out.  J & I agreed on the grounds that she would brush her hair everyday.  Generally speaking her hair gets brushed most days but it's usually not by C but rather J & I.  Especially lately as it's grown so long down her back that it's nearly impossible for her to reach it.  She's also not allowed to wear it down for school so every morning we're putting it up in plait or pony tail.

We've been working up towards the idea of getting her hair cut.  C likes the idea of giving her hair to charity, she doesn't like the idea of getting layers in her hair to take out some of the volume.  We have an appointment scheduled with my stylist on Nov 5.  Let's see what happens!
