K got up at 5:30 am to go on a charter fishing trip with my best friend and her daughter KK, who K absolutely adores. She's 13, loves sports and is K's idol! KK is super sweet to K too and treats him like a beloved little brother.
The day started out pretty slow,
but in the end the group caught their limit of lake trout. They then moved on to salmon but were unfortunately not successful in catching any.
Still...a very respectable take
And the impressive Catch of the Day!! K claims he was the one who caught it...what's the saying about fish tales?!
For dinner that night both families enjoyed a big fish fry at a local restaurant which cooked & served the freshly caught fish. Can't beat that - YUM! And J reports that there is still a ton leftover to savor throughout the summer. K finally earning his keep!
