Spamalot

C signed up to be part of the Middle School play this year which put on a production of Monty Python's "Spamalot".

C was cast as an ensemble member which she was a bit disappointed by but given that it's a 6th-8th grade production, most of the main parts went to 8th graders.  For about 2 months the kids practice about twice a week but in the last few weeks leading up to the show they had rehearsals every day for 3+ hours.  It was quite intense, especially having to balance rehearsals with schoolwork and homework.  I was very impressed with how she juggled it all and remained committed throughout.

We attended the opening night performance.  The kids did an outstanding job and the show was quite a delight, and a little bit more respectable than the broadway version.

C was a "laker girl" who appeared on stage with the 'Lady of the Lake' character.  There was definitely a lot of singing and dance moves required.

Super excited that her friend A came to the show:

C enjoyed herself and is looking forward to auditioning for the full-school Spring production of "Newsies".
