Since Caroline was born I had a my heart set on a Volvo XC90. I loved the styling and have friends who rave about theirs. Josh found a totally loaded one in San Jose but when I went for a test drive, it just wasn't for me. The best description is that it felt "mushy" and was big...like a full-on SUV which we already had. I decided I wanted something smaller, sportier and tighter, like the way our Audi drives.
So then why not keep the Audi S4? Unfortunately it doesn't fit both carseats and now with Kevin, the gear we need to cart around seems to have doubled (imagine that!). We started to look at Volvo wagons like the XC70, but in the end we found the perfect solution. Another Audi.
Here are some pictures of our lovely Audi All-Road.
Josh bought it from a woman in LA and drove it home yesterday. Audi stopped making them in 2005 when they introduced the Q7 so it's already 4 1/2 years old but only has 43K miles. And it's fully loaded although we're still not exactly sure why you need a heated steering wheel. But to my delight, it is rigged for satellite radio...oh Howard how I've missed you.
Lovely. My husband would do just about anything for a heated steering wheel! He's been talking about it for years.
