Visit from Uncle Brian

On Friday we had a wonderful visit with my brother Brian who was on his way home from Hong Kong and decided to connect through SFO so that he could spend the day with us. Josh and I loved seeing and catching up with him, but it was Caroline who had THE BEST time. We never heard her giggle so much in one day - it was so heartwarming (and made us miss our family that much more).

She and Brian threw the ball around for hours, stacked her new numbers blocks from HK, played horsey (I bet someone is sore after that one!) and learned how to buckle and unbuckle stroller snaps.

Brian also wins the prize for being the first Lahey to meet Kevin and even escaped spit-up free and without having to change a diaper.

But perhaps the most lasting result of the visit is that Caroline is no longer interested in giving high-fives or low-fives...only fist bumps.

  2. Love the giggles!! I've been trying to get G to fist bump, but he's just barely gotten the high-five (i sometimes call 'em the G5s).
