8 Months Old

K looks like he's been through a war these days. His HFM scabs are still visible 2 wks later. And he's sporting a nearly black eye and has two bruises on his cheek. Why you ask? Well he quickly decided that crawling was for 7 mos. olds and that standing up is now what all the cool kids are doing. Unfortunately he tends to choose things that move when he grabs hold. Plus he hasn't figured out how to sit down again once he's up. The combination of those two things have resulted in some hard falls to the ground. The parental supervision level has been cranked up substantially in the last few days!

Luckily the bumps and bruises haven't hurt his disposition any. He's still a happy, go-lucky kid who up until last night, never missed a meal. Last night K slept from 5 pm to 7 am...14 hrs! J and I kept waiting for him to wake up in the middle of the night wailing to be fed but to our delight, it never happened. Do you remember when I wrote about the "white dot" sighting? Well now K has a ridge of teeth along his bottom gums.

We don't have another Dr. check-up until next month so we don't have all his stats, but when we took K in for the HFM consult he weighed 22 pounds. I wasn't kidding about those meals!
