More Grandparents

Over the long weekend, J's parents came out for a visit. Aside from playing at home, we had some fun adventures including a trip to the San Jose Children's Discovery Museum and the San Francisco Zoo which we had never been to. C was a bit skittish seeing the peacocks walking around 'off leash', but in general she enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the monkeys. Here is C hugging a baby elephant at the zoo:
After the zoo we had a wonderful lunch at the Beach Chalet which is right on the ocean. We lucked out with the weather this weekend - it was warm, sunny and just plain beautiful!

K enjoyed the outings as well and had lots of fun hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. They even taught him how to cruise around the coffee table, then to the couch and back again. (as a side note, I'm not sure how I feel about this new development. Our baby is growing up soooo quickly!)

A particularly funny moment was when C was conducting mommy, daddy, grandma and grandpa in a chorus of itsy bitsy 'spi-bo' at the table, complete with hand gestures. Here is a little sample with Grandma only:

J made a few wonderful meals which received 'oohs' and 'aahs' from his parents, the best compliment for any chef. J's mom even suggested that he take his pork on the road which made him grin from ear to ear. Moms always seem to know just the right things to say.

M & J - thanks for making the trip to CA. We loved having you visit and miss you already. C woke up this morning and asked for Grandma and Grandpa Marv (yes, she finally said it!!!).
