The morning started early with an egg hunt around the house. C was good about not hogging all the eggs and helping K find some to fill his basket.
Then the kids explored their baskets, eating chocolate and jelly beans throughout the morning. I was so surprised that we didn't have any belly aches or something even worse!

This year the baskets were actually watering cans which hopefully will come in handy as we work on our garden outside. The day before we planted pansies in an old wine crate.
We also made cookies:
C made J & I an Easter card. It seems she's on her way to being a perfectionist:
The following week we visited our friends MM, KK, C & A for belated Easter celebration. KK hid eggs throughout their backyard and the kids went out for another hunt. The hunt kept the kids busy for quite a while, with many of the eggs hidden away amongst the tall grass. The kids came back inside to open up the eggs and find their loot. Luckily only one egg had been infiltrated by an hungry worm!
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter. xoxo
