The day after school let out we invited P&J over for a Christmas cookie decorating playdate. P & J are siblings and both go to the same schools as C &K so it worked out perfectly. They live close by and their mom gives us rides all the time so it was nice to be able to give her a break for a few hours.
The table was set with sugar and gingerbread cookies in an assortment of holiday shapes plus an array of different toppings. Luckily I had been to the US recently to stock up - I've yet to find a store with the same sort of decorating supplies you might find at Target or Michael's in the UK,
It didn't take long for the kids to totally get into it. It also got messy pretty quickly. While I tried to get them not to lick their fingers while decorating it was a lost cause.
