Even though C had a taster session last year, the first day I dropped her off she was very apprehensive. There are more than 20 girls in the troop and she's one of the youngest so it was a bit chaotic and overwhelming at first. She was in tears, then I was in tears which offered no help whatsoever. Luckily the brownie troop leader is a pro at managing little girls so she invited c to be her helper for the night which C thought was a good idea. When J pick C up, she was smiling and had joined in with the other girls so I guess she just needed a little time to warm up.
Once we got her a brownie uniform she was even more excited to be a part of it!

Last week she took her brownie promise.
Even though she had practiced she was super nervous about saying the promise in front of everyone. So much so that she made herself sick to her stomach and J had to go and pick her up early. Luckily she overcame her nerves and went back in time for the ceremony and recite her promise. She did a great job and knew all the lines (unlike some of the girls who had to read it).
