Father Christmas 2015

Once again we made our annual trek to Harrod's to meet Father Christmas.  Even though I booked in September, most of the slots had already filled up so the only availability was on November 8th.  It felt way too early to be spreading Christmas cheer but we managed.

Every year Harrod's changes up the grotto a bit - this year they had a fun toy shop photo op area.

There was also a throw the present in Santa's bag game:
And our favorite, the naughty / nice scale.  I'm not sure K believed the scale...but C certainly did.

The kids brought their Christmas lists in to share with Father Christmas.  K's was 3 separate sheets of paper, double-sided.  Lots of good stuff on there including motorized Hot Wheels, a cricket bat, a basketball and iPads, iPads and more iPads (I think at least one whole paper was dedicated to iPads).  C also asked for an iPad, and an iPod, plus Lego friends, a Born Doll and stroller.   The kids left their lists with Father Christmas (and I wish I had taken photos before they did so that I could remember it all).  K is very concerned that Father Christmas only read the front of the papers and not the backs but we assured him that Santa would review the lists again before the big day.

After our photo session, we had a Christmas lunch at Mickey's Restaurant in Harrods.  Last year we had an Afternoon Tea which I liked much better but the lunch was fine and we all walked out with Mickey ears.

Outside of Harrods fake snow falling from the building tops and there was a free Holiday Carnival.  There were lots of different stations including hula hooping, spin-the-wheel (where the kids won big lollies), balloon animals, a reindeer petting zone, a present knockdown (where the kids won handfuls of gold coins) and a fun Photo Booth.

Sadly, K didn't want to get in on the Photo Booth action but the rest of us did.

Again, it felt too early to be getting into Christmas spirit but it was a fun afternoon none the less.  And here it is, our 2015 Harrod's Father Christmas photo:
