Number Three

K lost another tooth!  The tooth had been loose and very wonky for a couple of weeks so it wasn't surprising that while he was eating a sandwich it popped out.  This is the first one that he's actually not lost completely - lucky number three! Now we're just hoping the tooth right next to it comes out soon.  The dentist has threatened to extract it since it was part of the trauma suffered a few years ago.

I hadn't made a tooth pillow yet for K so at bedtime we put the tooth in a ziplock and stuck it under his pillow.  The idea that the tooth fairy would be so close as to reach under K's pillow really freaked him out so I suggested we leave the ziploc on his dresser.  That didn't sit well with him either - "how will the tooth fairy know?" - so we decided to borrow C's tooth pillow this one time.  Before I left K's room he brought up the idea of saving the tooth until we were back in the U.S. so that the tooth fairy would bring him both a pound and a dollar (like she did in the summer when he lost his tooth while we were vacationing in NY). I assured him that payout only happens if the tooth falls out in America.  Clever thought though to maximize profit.
