On our way home from the Puppet Theater barge we stopped at a new Icelandic ice cream place, Bears Ice Cream which I had read about it in our local paper. The base ice cream comes in only one flavor - a vanilla, soft-serve - so it's really all about the toppings. The kids both selected Glaciers, very reminiscent of dairy queen blizzards where everything is mixed together.

Each could choose 3 toppings. They both selected malteasers and white chocolate and for the last one, K chose rainbow sprinkles and C picked gummy dots. After it was all mixed together, some toppings were put on top as well. I went with one of their signature cones (I read that cones are imported from Denmark), the Dark & Salty which offered layers of chocolate sauce, brownies and ice-cream topped with Popcorn and Sea Salt.

It was a total YUM! I especially loved that the chocolate sauce on top froze up but the sauce in the bottom of the cone was still warm, plus the layering effect meant that there was brownie chunks and chocolate sauce all the way down to the last bite.
