Year 1 put on a production of Aladdin as their end of year play. It as a very funny show with few songs and lots of dialogue. A very entertaining and impressive performance!

K was cast as Miss Cilla Black, a famous host of the 70's TV show "Blind Date" which is the UK version of the dating game. K was not at all happy about this 1. because he was a girl 2. because he had 20 lines to learn and 3. because he had to wear a wig. If you ask me, he got off easy compared to Princess Jasmine (aka Xavier)

Some nights K would cry about practicing his lines and beg me to ask his teacher to cancel the show. Luckily an ice cream bribe got him through the last couple of days of rehearsals. And not surprisingly he did a great job, remembering all his lines and stage cues. His bit was quite funny and drew lots of laughs from the parents.

He also had his artwork displayed in the show program.

The finale - "A whole new world".

Almost too adorable for words!!!
