Little Princess Trust Donation

When C woke up on the day of her haircut she decided she wanted to go ahead and donate her hair.  Even though J & I complained often about how hard it was to take care of her hair, now faced with the idea of going short we were actually a bit unsure if this was the right thing to do.  We even braided her hair to show her how short it would be once the stylist cut off 12 inches which was the minimum length according to the website. C was not deterred - she had made up her mind - no hesitation, no second-guessing.

I brought C to see my stylist, Claire, in central London.  Once we arrived C was once again drilled on if she REALLY wanted to do this.  And she did.  The first thing the stylist did was re-braid her hair to make the braids tighter and to put extra braids in to help with the cut afterwards.  At one point C had about three different people working on her hair. Everyone was so impressed at her bravery and generosity.

And then, just like that, it was done.

C now had six lovely 12 inch braids to donate to the Little Princess Trust so that children with cancer could get wigs made from her hair.

Claire did an absolutely lovely job with C's cut - so chic and stylish.  And we remarked on how amazing C's hair color was…and so close to the color I get every 3 months.

After the cut, we stopped at Five Guys for a celebratory burger, fries and shake!

A few weeks later she received her official hair donation thank you certificate from the Little Princess Trust. And I'm happy to report that she's loving the shorter 'do; the ease of baths and brushing plus being able to wear headbands again.  A win all around!
