K's school hosted a Father Son Football tournament. Not surprisingly, J & K were assigned to team USA with two other father-son duos. The night before I was ironing on patches and numbers to make their shirts look official.

Kudos to J for getting out there; this was the first time he has ever played in a soccer game (we'll leave his sports deprived childhood for another post). After his first "kick whiff" J decided to focus on defense which seemed to be his calling. K was out in front and with help from the dad's scored most of the goals for the team.

While their team didn't win, they had a fun day and made it to the finals of the plate cup (which I think may be the losers bracket but I'm not sure).

Way to go Team U.S.A.!
