Jewel Changi Airport

While in Singapore, our team participated in an Apple Store Photowalk at Jewel Changi Airport.  The Jewel is an amazing shopping mall connected to the airport.  We saw lots of people with suitcases; travelers can even check their bags for flights from the mall itself so that they can explore and shop hands free.  A monorail runs between the shopping mall and the terminals.

The main attraction at the mall is the largest man-made waterfall in the world that spans five floors.  On the photowalk, the Apple instructor shared lots of tips and tricks, using the waterfall as the focus of most of our photos.   Here are some favorites from the photowalk:

After the photowalk, we had a team dinner at Violet Oon, a restaurant specializing in Peranakan cuisine which marries Malaysian, Chinese and Indonesian cuisine.  Lots of tang and spice.  Incredibly delicious.

After dinner I walked around the mall some more, losing hours in the food hall on the bottom floor.  When I emerged it was nighttime which brought a whole new dimension to the waterfall with a stunning light show.

Definitely a must-see if you're traveling through Singapore!
