Pumpkin Picking

Yesterday we drove out to the coast to pick some pumpkins. Last year we went to Arata's farm which had lots of attractions including a maze of hay, a petting zoo and pony rides. However, since C is currently afraid of animals both big and small we opted to go old school and visit a pumpkin farm with just pumpkins. This was in fact the same farm we were at 2 yrs. ago when C was only 4 mos. old.

C loved running around the pumpkin fields, finding the pumpkins that were hiding and trying her hardest to pick up the really big ones.

She couldn't understand when we told her that we 'had enough', but she was perfectly happy to remove all the pumpkins from the wheelbarrow so that she could go search for some more.

K got to ride on daddy for most of the picking.
Mom & C pushed the wheelbarrow back from the fields.
Boy was that hard work!

After we got our pumpkins, we had a nice lunch at the brewery in HMB. While the day was overcast, it was still nice to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
