Yesterday she went to school with her pants on backwards. Easy enough to tell by the drawstrings coming out her backside. I know the other mommy's were looking at me funny but I figure this is a win I could give her. She did it all by herself.

Dressing
C is totally into dressing herself these days. She wants to choose what clothes to wear (which oddly enough I don't care about as long as they are seasonally appropriate) and wants to put them on all by herself. She doesn't even want J or I in the same room when she's dressing for fear we won't have the willpower to stand back when her arm is through the neck hole or her left foot is stuck in the right pant leg. She's right of course which is why I hear "no, mommy, no...myself" when I peak my head in 10 minutes later to see how it's going.

I go through the same thing with Caleb. Now I don't wonder why I see kids with clothes that aren't color coordinated.

ReplyDeleteR is doing it as well. Today she picked a skirt but didn't want to wear it. She wanted to "take it in the car" instead. Wardrobe change later?
