12 Photos from 2012

Another year, another zillion photographs.  It's was SO hard to choose 12 favorites especially with all the fun places we've traveled this year, but here goes:

1. Paris - K & I in front of the Eiffel Tower.  

2. The Beach - I'm a beach lover.  I grew up on the beach, I loved spending summer's at my Grandmother's beach house and I moved to California for the beach so it makes me so happy that my kids enjoy the beach too.  This photo was from our trip to Florida last March.  I love the perspective and how gorgeous the sand, sea and sky look.  And to think it was taken on an iPhone!

3. Girlfriends - we've had lots of fun adventures with our friends MM, KK and C this past year.  This picture was from Windsor Gardens, the girls huddling under the umbrella, giggling, telling secrets.

4.  Stonehenge - our first weekend trip within the UK.  We rented a car and visited Stonehenge and Bath.

5. Malaga, Spain (Costa del Sol) - J teaching K how to play paddleball.  So sweet.  And a beautiful backdrop.

6.  La Alhambra, Spain - J & C walking through the palace.

7.  St. Paul's Cathedral, London - taken from Shakespeare's Globe theatre.  Finally some date nights.  It took us a year but we now have three babysitters who we can call upon.

8. The Olympics - this summer was all about the Olympics.  I couldn't get enough.  This picture was from our first event.  We took the kids to Richmond Park to watch the bicyclists speed by.  Go Wiggo and Team GB!

9.  Lake Ontario - sitting around the campfire on the beach with friends, toasting marshmallows and eating s'more.  An absolutely perfect summer night.

10.  Reception - C in her school uniform with our neighbor Jack on her first day of Reception (aka Kindergarten).  We are thrilled that she is so happy with her school.

11.  Salzburg - the kids taking a walk in Mirabellgarten just like Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp children.

12.  Oktoberfest - yes, a majority of men really do wear leiderhosen at Oktoberfest.  A super-fun trip with my Dad to Salzburg and Munich.  C has already put in her request to go back next year!  Between the beer, the sausages, the pretzels and the rides, there wasn't much not to like.
