New (Used) Car

Yes, we finally took the plunge and bought a car.  After 4 years without one we really wanted more flexibility to explore the English countryside.  And the kids are getting into more activities, and not all are in our town, so getting to/from with a car is a lot faster and more convenient.

J researched, and researched, and researched...as he's known to do.  Top contenders were the electric Mitsubishi Outlander, Volvo XC60, BMW X3, Audi Q5 and the Honda CRV. He finally settled on an Audi Q5 but it was nearly impossible to find a used Q5 with the 'must have' specs (which included power seats!).  

When we came back from the states J re-thought the budget and felt the Honda CRV was the better option.  So I met him at the Honda dealership in town, we all sat in the car, he went for a test drive and then started negotiating.  But his heart wasn't in it.  So in the end, he gave up on power seats and bought an Audi Q5.  And I'm so glad he did...he's giddy with excitement every time he jumps in and takes it for a drive.  For that matter, he's giddy just admiring it parked in front of our house.

And now of course he's busy researching all of the after-market options.
