Ski Race

Even though the kids were taking private lessons, on the last day of skiing in Austria, they participated in a race with the rest of the ski school.  Their instructor told them about it the day before and they were super excited.

J and I headed over to the slope to watch.  The youngest kids went down first, starting about halfway down the course.  Then it was time for the bigger kids to go (although K was probably the youngest).  C & K did an amazing job starting all the way at the top, skiing down the course and going around the gates.  I was super impressed!

I particularly like the way K stuck his head out at the finished line to maximize his time.

That evening there was an award ceremony at a local hotel.  All the kids got medals but the fastest skier received a trophy.  K was super bummed it wasn't him.
