Halloween 2018

The kids were super excited for their first Halloween in America.  The day started with a parade at school where C went as a unicorn and her friend D went as a taco.  K wasn't able to wear is costume because facemasks and weapons were banned so he didn't dress up at all (although they still made him march in the parade).

Getting our Halloween on!  Notice who stole C's unicorn costume

C thought our decorations were lame this year (which in fairness they were by comparison of prior years) but with the move we couldn't easily put our hands on our Halloween decorations.  We did buy a few things though including graveyard hands, motion-activated moaning spiders and C graced our porch again with a puking pumpkin.

Our neighbors across the street had a large group of kids over for pizza before the trick-or-treating began.  And as soon as the kids set off, there was a mad rush at our front door with K leading the charge!!!

C and her friends decided to all dress up as cats and went around the neighborhood together.

Around 8:00 things started to die down and the TOT's returned home. K was very impressed with all of his loot which included a few full bars of chocolate.

I asked K how this Halloween compared to London and he said it was definitely better - more kids, more candy - although he did think the house decorations were scarier in London.  In CA, everyone is encouraged to keep their porch lights on.
