Here are a couple of video clips I took the morning of her birthday. She was very excited to be the birthday girl. And to have all of her friends come over to help celebrate
This was a big transition year from toddler to 'big girl'. C moved from her crib to a real bed, is dressing herself, is talking in full sentences and is almost fully potty trained (aside from night time pull-ups). Of course, we still witness some regression when she's trying to copy her little brother (um, sweetie, just because he babbles doesn't mean you should). Since our trip to Hawaii she's been quite fascinated with hotels, trains, planes and "air-porks". C is a good little athlete, dribbles the basketball, throws and catches balls of all sizes, and swims across the width of the pool doing 'pop-ups'. She also loves to do puzzles and can spend hours on them. And her latest trick, spelling her name!
We haven't been to the doctor yet but our guess is that she's 40 inches tall and weighs close to 40 lbs. She is a relatively good eater, although she can be particular at times ("I want Mommy yogurt, not my yogurt"...cue the meltdown when she's told 'no') and she definitely prefers the good stuff - lox for breakfast and steak for dinner. But she'll gladly eat fruits and vegetables too. And she goes crazy for sweets. Last week at N's birthday she was 'caught' going back for second cupcake. Who could blame her, they taste sooo good!
Happy Birthday C. We love you!
