The culprit
As the story goes, C fell getting into the mesh tunnel at the top of the play structure and split open her chin. She came up wailing with lots of blood. Josh was down below making sure C didn't fall off the sides, so another mom sent C down the slide to reach daddy. Another nice mom drove the two of them home since they had walked to the park. Then off to urgent care. The worst part about it all was having to swaddle up C and pin her down so that the nurses & doctor could clean the wound and sew it up. Traumatizing for both C & daddy alike.
This event capped off a rough week for C. On Friday she got sick in the car coming home from SF. On Saturday she cut her finger on a mirror in the house and had to endure daddy's 'pressure' and won her first bandaid ever. On Sunday a toy wooden tray fell on her, leaving a nice bruise across the bridge of her nose. And then Monday, the stitches.
May this be the last of her boo-boo's for awhile. This is a parenting area that Mommy & Daddy would prefer not to become experts in.
What a week! Hope CRJ is accident free for a while and you and J have a cocktail.
ReplyDeleteSince accidents come in 3's, C is now officially off the hook (the Friday episode doesn't count since it didn't result in a "boo boo"). Hope she is feeling better soon!
