7 Months

J and I are in total love with this little guy. It's impossible not to be. When he sees you his face lights up and he give you this wide gummy grin. It's fun to interact with him too. He smiles all the time, giggles and coos and loves to cuddle. Our two favorite adjectives to describe him are snuggly and yummy.

This was a big month and we hit quite a few milestones:

1. Crawling - As I type this, K decided to crawl out into the hall to see what's going on out there. He tends to use more of a GI Joe style crawl, hauling himself by the strength of his arms, but he certainly can get up on all fours too. It's adorable when he decides to crawl to you from across the room for a little interaction & affection. It's impossible not to acquiesce.

2. Real food - so far he's had rice cereal and carrots. Both have been well received, the thicker the better. It usually takes him a little while to get started but once he does he's leaning in, grabbing your arm and his eyes are saying 'more, more, faster, faster'.

3. Signs of his first tooth - Early this week we had our first tooth sighting - lower, left side. Not surprising, Sophie the Giraffe has been a favorite toy for the last couple of months. K loves to chomp, chomp, chomp on her right hind leg.

We're not due for a doctors appt. for another 2 months so we don't have updated stats but it's safe to say his weight is north of 20 pounds.
