The Day After


Breakfast anyone? This was the apple pie that J and I were too stuffed to eat last night. I have a friend who calls the day after Thanksgiving "Fat Friday". Between the pie and the leftovers, I have to agree.

J has been perfecting his pie techniques over the years and this was one of his best. We had an amazing apple crop from our tree this year so all of the apples used in the pie came from our backyard.

His new favorite trick is using potato starch to soak up the juices. It seems to work magic!
