Once Upon a Time...

Well, Tuesday actually, we visited Children's Fairyland in Oakland with our friends the GVZs. Fairyland is a pint-size theme park for little kids and each of the exhibits are based on a different fairy tale. The old lady who lives in the shoe greeted us at the entrance.
K & C in the brick house that belonged to the 3 pigs.
A ferris wheel that C & N rode all by themselves, although one time around was enough for N.
The Scarecrow & the Tin Man. N's mom told her to 'stay still' and believe me, she was doing it!
C & N were big fans of the carousel which they were able to ride all by themselves. Both of them wanted to ride on the purple horse though, so a few extra turns were required.
Throwing pennies into the wishing well.
Sitting in flower chairs.

Unfortunately K spent a lot of time in the stroller. He loved Fairyland too, but by myself it was impossible to keep track of them both on foot. Here he is outside the Alice in Wonderland card maze.
Alice in Wonderland was by far my favorite exhibit. I didn't take any pictures but there was a neat tunnel that went underground with a slide, a fun mirror and a tea party set up in the grass.

Near the front there was a really neat dragon that the kids could climb on. C really enjoyed stepping between the scales.
Before we left, we asked each girl which ride/exhibit they wanted to check out one more time. C chose the carousel and N chose the whale w/the aquarium. The girls had a great time and were all smiles even on the way out.
It was a fantastic way to spend the morning and so much more fun being there with friends.

The End.
