Grandma's Visit

Grandma Joan came for a visit and we are so happy she did.

She helped us get a bit more unpacked and organized. The kids had a great time playing with her from morning 'til night. Each day she taught the kids something new...from memory, to climbing techniques to singing games. They did a good job of tiring one another out - in fact one day, C took a nap in Grandma's bed, K took a nap in Mom & Dad's bed and Grandma took a nap in C's bed.

J enjoyed having company while I was at work. Every morning Grandma would make PB&J sandwiches for a picnic lunch. The 4 of them would usually pick C up from school and then spend a couple of hours at the park after lunch. Here is J with his mom at the Farmer's Market trying out his "American Gothic" look:

Grandma treated us to a night out before she left. We were looking for plain 'ole pub food but stumbled into this french bistro instead.

We lucked out - the food was yummy! I'm pretty sure there will be a return visit when she comes back with Grandpa in December. We can't wait to see her again. xoxox
