Pre-School

C started school this week.

Probably not surprising, it took her a bit of time to warm up to things on the first day. But there weren't any tears and every morning she's been super excited to go to school.

Yesterday she told me her teacher is "Teacher Alice" and that she made some friends - Ethan, Daniel, Benjamin, Annabelle and Katana (sp?). According to C she is spending time at school "painting, reading books and doing puzzles". There is a park right next door to the school so she's also been spending time there which she loves. Before leaving, all the kids have to formally say 'good-bye' to the teachers. J particularly likes that part.

Since we're not fully moved into our new place J has had to take the kids on the train in the morning out to C's school. It's about 45 min to an hour door to door in rush hour. Apparently J isn't making any friends on the train, pushing his way in with his double stroller.

After dropping C off, he and K have been hitting a local cafe for a full english breakfast and then on to Starbucks for some coffee and free wi-fi. Some things just haven't changed much.

And in case you were wondering, yes, the pink striped socks to go with the blue and yellow striped outfit were all her idea.
