In the morning, C and I let the boys sleep in and headed out to the market and the boulangerie. We pick up a few croissants, pain au chocolat and of course, a baguette. This one was still steaming hot from the oven.
What is it about French baguettes that make them so much...better. Really crusty on the outside. Really soft on the inside. I was in heaven.Even though everyone was still feeling a bit under the weather we decided we needed to go out and explore a bit. There was a metro stop conveniently located just around the corner from the apartment

so we took it to the Champs de Mar, the park in front of the Eiffel Tower.

And J found a nice spot on a bench:

Everyone started getting a bit hungry so we bought a ham & cheese crepe from a stand in the park which we all devoured within minutes. Even from a concession stand, the food in Paris seemed to be so healthy, fresh and delicious.

We wanted to go up in the Eiffel Tower but we tried to buy tickets online and to our disappointment they were all sold out. So we just played around out front

and then walked underneath the Tower and over the bridge to the Trocadero. There we found a beautiful two-story carousel with the most amazing view of the Tower.

After the ride, both kids zonked out in the stroller so J and I took a lovely (and long) stroll through the city.
We walked to the Arc de Triomphe,
then down the Champs Elysees to the Tuilleries. That's when the kids woke up so we had a snack of waffles.
J and I were quite tired at this point so we hopped the Metro back to the apartment where we made cheeseburgers for dinner (by request from C). It seems you can take the kid out of america but you can't take the america out of the kid.
I've been to Paris (and London for that matter!) many times, but never ever noticed any playgrounds....this is when I had no kid, of course. Looks like you had a blast! So jealous!!!
