C has always been a fish and has loved swimming from the moment she started water babies at 6 mos. old. The last time we were in Naples she was jumping into the pool with abandon.
When we left CA, she was just starting to learn how to do 'pop-ups', stopping to take a breath before continuing on. But since this summer, we've lost some momentum as we haven't yet found a pool in London for her to take lessons at (even though she's asked on multiple occasions). It's definitely been on our list of 'to-do's' but unfortunately that list is still mighty long.
However, over the last two weeks in Florida she's had a ton of pool time and made huge strides in her swimming and her confidence.
She can now swim across the pool entirely on her own with a combination of underwater swimming and doggy-paddling. I didn't catch the whole thing on video but here is a snippet.
As you can imagine, she's very proud and excited by this recent accomplishment!
K is also loving the water.
He blows bubbles, jumps off the side, dives for rings and couldn't be happier doing it.
Now he just needs to learn how to kick a bit more rather than lying on the surface waiting for someone to rescue him.
That is so awesome!
