Necklace

I LOVE Target. Of all the stores in the U.S., Target is the one I miss the most. J agrees.

And I'm a sucker for the $1 aisle.

C picked up a necklace kit and I agreed to buy it for her. It was actually my sneaky attempt to get the string. At the beach I found a shell with a hole already in it which I thought would make the perfect necklace.
When we got home, C insisted on making the necklace however she was not at all interested in my shell version. I started to help her make it but found it nearly impossible to get the fraying string through the beads. So I called in reinforcements. Daddy.
This project was perfect for J and it was good bonding time for the two of them. C picked out which bead went on next and J strung it for her. A nice father-daughter project. Or as J called it "beading hell", complete with visions of future Girls Scout projects.

Here is C modeling the finished necklace.
It looks super cute and J is just as proud of it as C is.
