Legoland

On the bank holiday we took a trip out to Windsor to visit Legoland.  The park was pretty crowded and for most of the rides we had to wait 15-30 min. which is tough for a 3 & 4 yr. old but they did pretty well.  We quickly dismissed any ride with 60-90 minute waits.  The first ride was a lego skyride.  A bit tame but we had nice views of the park
On the helicopter ride the 'cockpit' controls let you move up and down as well as turning in circles.  It was actually more fun than it looked at first glance.  K didn't want to get off.
Then we went to the 3-5 yr. old race track which turned out to be the favorite 'ride' of the day.  The kids went to driving school where they were given instructions and then were let out onto the track to drive around.  I probably shouldn't admit this but the funniest part for the parents was watching the kids hit the curbs and pile up.  When they were finished, they each were given a driver's license to take home.

A close second in the rides category was Atlantis.  We hopped on a small submarine which moved inside an aquarium where we saw fish, rays, sharks and of course we found the lost city of Atlantis.

The last ride of the day was a jeep safari tour through the land of dinosaurs.

Overall a nice day although a shame that is was so crowded since we didn't get on all the rides we would have liked. That's what we get for going 1. on a holiday and 2. on a warm, sunny day.  J did a great job driving us out to Windsor.  He passed his UK driver's test in March so this was the first time that we took one of the shared city cars for a spin.
