Disneyland Paris - Day Two: Rides & Princesses

We opted for the early breakfast slot  in the Hotel so that we could get to the Park when it opened.  It was barely light when we arrived.

Our first stop was Buzz Lightyear.  I didn't know anything about the ride other than the lines are usually long.  What a blast (literally)!  It was such a fun ride that the kids immediately wanted to go on it again.  And again.  Luckily it was still early so the line was pretty short.

Across the way was Autopia where the kids were able to drive cars around the track.  It was all fun & games until J and K got rear ended.  J's back is still feeling the pain.

The Orbitron was next.  Definitely more fun than I expected. Love the picture of J & C in flight.

In the same area was Space Mountain, a childhood favorite of J's so while he went on the roller coaster  I took the kids on Buzz Lightyear again.  This time we all used fast passes which was a lifesaver as the lines were already over an hour long on both rides.

From Tomorrowland we ventured across the park to Adventureland.  We had lunch reservations at Agrabah Cafe so we wanted to be close by.  And I wanted to go on Pirates of the Carribean, my childhood favorite.  The good news is that it didn't dissappoint and was very similar to how I remember it.  So much good stuff to look at and the few descents in the boat were a thrill.  Plus the line moves quickly which is always appreciated. J's only wish was that the pirates spoke in english not french.  But the pirates did sing "ho, ho, ho it's a pirates life for me" in english.

On the way to Adventureland, we stopped to watch the Christmas Calvacade parade, a scaled down version of the nighttime parade.  Santa is the star of this one.

After lunch we rode the tea cups and then ventured on to Frontierland.  First stop was the Haunted Mansion, or as they call it in Paris, Phantom Manor.

The wait was long but the line moved relatively quickly.  We weren't sure if we should take the kids on this or not - one of our friends warned us that it was scary and best avoided - but we decided to go anyway.  And good thing we did because the ghost on C's seat was one of her favorite parts of any ride.

There was a great view of Big Thunder Mountain from the Manor and K kept pointing and saying he wanted to go on the train.

So after Phantom Manor we decided to walk over to BTM to see what the height restriction was.  To our surprise, K made it (although just barely).  We waited for over an hour and finally it was our turn.  K was laughing the whole time.  C was near tears.  And J and I were in tears when we saw this photo (and of course had to buy it).  I want to party with that guy!

That night we had a special dinner with the Princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon.  Over the course of the evening we had visits to our table from Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Cinderella.  C was a chatterbox with all the princesses and got all of their signatures while K was just in it for the photo op...and the kisses.

What a long, exciting, exhilarating, gleeful day...and we were all completely pooped by the end of it.

Night night Disneyland...see you tomorrow.
