It was a hot one!

This weekend was quite hot so we spent lots of time playing with the water table in the backyard. Even K was into splashing around.

We also had a few early morning excursions. On Saturday, C and I went to the farmer's market. Here she is carrying Sweet Peas back to the car. These flowers smell like Iced Tea to me - perfect for the summer.

On Sunday morning we went to Bol Park. Besides having two fun playstructures, the park is famous for the donkey that inspired the one in Shrek (apparently one of the Pixar creators lives nearby). Usually you take a short walk to get to the donkey's pen but yesterday the donkey's were out in the park for a little grazing. Lucky us!

Unfortunately C seems to be afraid of animals these days (I think the sheep herd traumatized her) so she just watched from the stairs on the playstructure.
