Last Day

C's first year (ok, really 2 mos.) at preschool finished up last week. Overall, a big success. She started waking up every morning asking "skool" and there were no tears (or even a care in the world) that dad & k left after dropping her off. Her best friend A helped her come out of her shell a a bit and I'm sure they will miss seeing each other regularly this summer.


Camp started this week - at the same place but a bit less structured. While A unfortunately is not at camp, 3 of the other boys from her preschool class are so there is definitely some familiarity. One of the biggest changes though is that camp is 4 hrs. long (vs. 2 1/2). So far C seems to be enjoying it and managing the extra hours fine although she is T-I-R-E-D when she gets home (that is if she can make it home without falling asleep in the car). Unfortunately, camp has a no meat or nuts policy for lunch which really doesn't work for our carnivore so she has to have second lunches at home before going down for her nap. Josh tells me that as soon as they cross the threshold into the house C screams "EEEAAAAT"!
