Hair Bling

C's hair was getting out a bit out of control so I took her for another haircut. While we were there the stylist asked if she could put a Bling Strand in C's hair. She said all the neighborhood girls were coming in asking for it. I wasn't exactly sure what a Bling Strand was, especially when the stylist said it could last anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks. But hey, if all the cool kids are doing it...

Here is what it looks like. It's sort of a pink iridescent piece of tinsel for the hair.
I have to admit I breathed a sigh of relief when I actually saw it. For a moment I was envisioning a painted strip of hair in C's head and was already imagining J's "are you crazy?!?!?" reaction when we got home. It's very cute but unfortunately the only way C can see it is if she looks in the mirror. Which means mommy is getting a serious arm work-out lifting her up & down to check it out.
