O Tannenbaum

On Saturday we headed up to the mountains in Los Gatos to cut down our Christmas Tree.
We searched and searched and finally found the one. J is a master with the saw and in minutes we were yelling "timber".
The victors and their prize.
Unfortunately this turned out to be the year our lights decided to die during summer hibernation. J spent a bunch of time replacing bulb after bulb trying to get them to work (bless his heart because I have NO patience for this type of work). In the end, we threw out 3 strands and put up one really long new one.
C had fun putting up ornaments herself and found one 6-inch wide spot on the bottom to put ALL of them. I feel bad, but I had to do a little rearranging during nap time mostly to keep them out of K's reach.
Our finished Christmas Tree complete with bridges, taxi cabs, feet, yoda and star trek ships:
Guess who's excited for Christmas to come?!
