Today was a lazy day that found us sleeping in, hanging out and taking long naps. Finally in the late afternoon we made it outside to explore a bit more. This time we walked south east of the apartment to Lambeth Bridge. On the way we happened across a small park with only a set of swings and one slide but with a great backdrop.

Next we walked across Lambeth Bridge with great views of the House of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.
Then finally we crossed over Westminster Bridge to head back home.

By this time we were starving so we walked to the pub at the end of our block. J and I were ready to order the fish & chips and C the hamburger w/cheese but unfortunately it was after 7pm which meant that no kids were allowed in the bar area. So...we it became a Tesco pre-packaged food night. I guess we'll try the pub again tomorrow night.
Suzy - I love all these posts and am envious of your move to London. I am going to be following closely as it is something I had wished we had done before our kids got settled in schools, etc. It is an amazing experience and such a gift you are giving your children. XOXO Melissa
ReplyDeletethanks Melissa! to tell you the truth we are still in disbelief that we're here too. We always talked about living/working abroad but I'm not sure either of us thought that we'd actually do it. But when this opportunity came along, we figured now or never. We're looking forward to getting settled so that we can start exploring the rest of Europe too! Let me know if you're ever in London for work. I'm hoping to see Barbara a bit more now :]
