Exploring London - Day 3

Before we moved, C was most excited about the transportation in London - getting to ride in a taxi, on a bus and on a train. We rode a taxi from the airport so we had already crossed that off the list. Today, we crossed off the other two.

I had read about a 'city farm' not too far from our apartment, but still a bus ride away. Here is K and C on their first bus trips (bummed I didn't get a picture of the bus itself, but yes, it was a classic red double decker one).
Unfortunately when we arrived the farm was closed today but you could still see a lot of the animals from the fences. There were horses, goats, rabbits and lots of chickens.

So since the farm was a bit of a bust, we decided to take the train up to Notting Hill to visit the Princess Diana Memorial Playground. C was very excited to ride the tube.

Before we even reached the playground C spotted a carousel. It was a beautiful one and went very fast. C & J were able to ride together. K had fallen asleep by this point.
After the carousel, C insisted on riding the cars - hers was a NYC firetruck.
Finally we made it to the playground itself. It was a really neat playground with mostly wood play structures and different sections hidden away.
C's favorite part was the large ship where she could 'walk the plank'.

  1. The Princess Diana fountain was one of my favorite things in London. You guys are amazing for all of the adventures you have already had. Tell C we miss her and to mind the gap!
