Toothless Gap

Well it happened.  C lost her first tooth.  She was sitting on the couch fiddling with it and all of a sudden, out it came.  While we can't see her adult tooth yet, we can see the one next to it, already peeking through behind her baby tooth.

C was super excited for a visit from the tooth fairy.  Copying my friend Megan, I sewed a cute little pillow with a pocket on the back for C to put her tooth into.

When she woke up, C was thrilled to have a gold coin (or perhaps just a british pound) in exchange for her tooth!

J took this milestone hard, another marking of the passage from babyhood to childhood.

It seems like yesterday that we were so proud of C's first two teeth and our ability to 'survive' teething.
