Hard Day's Night

C likes to announce her emotional state. Last night we were in her room and I was struggling to get her to lay down long enough so that I could put her diaper on.

Finally she just stopped and said, "I'm so sad."

To which I replied, "Why are you so sad."

"Mommy gives Caroline a hard time."

Ouch. You can bet that comment was followed by a lot of hugs, kisses, tickles etc. to make her "feel happy."

Boy, that was a healthy dose of parenting perspective.
