- says 4 words - nope, babbling a bunch but no words
- points to body parts - nope, although he can point to bottles, balls and drums when asked.
- pretend play - we don't think so
- weaned from the bottle - NO, please, don't take it away (pleads mommy & daddy)
- walk, run - this one is a slam dunk - definitely!!!!
The doctor of course put us at ease and told us that K was on track and not to fret. She also said that big kids will hit milestones later - and she emphasized that K was B-I-G. As in past visits, his percentiles remain on the high side:
Height - 32.25 inches, 85th percentile
Weight - 27.5 lbs, 95th percentile
Head Circumference - 85th percentile
Unfortunately K scored himself a bilateral ear infection (which you would never guess from his happy disposition), so we started him on some amoxicillin. We also noticed on Tuesday that part of his eye was bloodshot. It was still there yesterday so the doctor was able to take a look at it. She ruled out pink eye, so now we're just waiting to see if it resolves itself.
These days K is a lot of fun to play with. He likes shooting hoops and gives you high-fives when he makes a basket. He can play the drums like a serious rock-star. And he has figured out that play-silks are awesome for peek-a-boo. We are finishing up the last few jars of baby food since K is finally starting to dig 'real food'.
