To help K's speech development, the doctor suggested enrolling him in a few classes so that he could interact with other kids and adults - adults who might not be as attuned to "k speak". J found a playgroup near our house. It's only two days a week but J leaves K there by himself for 3 hours.
Here's a picture from the first day - J watching from outside to make sure that K was ok.

The first couple of times J left him there were tears. However we're told by the teachers that the tears didn't last for long. And now after attending for a couple of weeks, K happily joins in without any fuss.
We're definitely seeing improvements in his speech as well. While his calling of 'mama' was a bit tentative a few weeks ago, he now shouts "MOMMY" at the top his lungs at all hours of the day and night. Now that we have his speech moving in the right direction, I think we may need to tackle some improvements in the sleep arena.
